2008 Buick Lucerne lineup gains a new model, including CXL Special Edition and Super sporty. Buick's largest car shares basic design of the Cadillac DTS. A 197-hp 3.8-liter V6 engine standard CX, CXL and CXL Special Edition V6. A 275 hp 4.6-liter V8 is standard on CXL Special Edition V8 and CXS. New super has 292-hp V8 version of the same, with a revised steering wheel, sport suspension and specific trim inside. All Lucernes using 4-speed automatic transmission and five seats. Bench front of the available seats in the CX and CXL capacity to six. Security features that are available include ABS, traction control, charging system, curtain side airbags, front and side airbags. Also available is a blind-place alert and road departure warning systems. Leather upholstery is standard on all but the CX. Other features available include remote engine start, heated and cooled front seats and navigation systems. Analysis of the Super 2008 Buick Lucerne is based on preview test drives.
