2008 Cadillac Escalade adds a new top-end Platinum Edition package list. This is big SUV is basically a high-class version of the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. It is available as standard trim or train on long wheelbase ESV. The Escalade EXT is a crew cab pickup truck similar to the design of the Chevrolet Avalanche. EXTs are folding midgate separating cab from cargo bed. Standard-length and seven seats on the train ESV 2-2-3 layout, or they sit eight three-optional 2nd row Bench. Escalades are available in standard back-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV are available for the first time the rear wheel to join the AWD version. EXTs is AWD only. All Escalade models share a 403-hp 6.2-liter V8 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity: 7400 pounds for the base wagon; £ 7600 to £ 7800 and Ext for ESV. The available safety equipment includes ABS, traction control, charging system, and side curtain airbags. Leather upholstery and power-adjustable pedals are standard. Escalades with Platinum Package offers a unique trim and other high-tech features such as dimming the lights themselves, and GM's Magnetic Ride Control suspension, which uses sensors to detect conditions the road and suspension vary the determination to balance ride and handling. Note that the gas / electric hybrid Escalade is due at the end of the calendar year of 2008 as a 2009 model.
