2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class gets a completely new design that leaves a little longer in the wheelbase and overall length compared to the 2001-2007 version. Four models are offered. C300 Luxury and C300 Sport have a 228-horsepower 3.0-liter V6. C350 Sport has a 268 horsepower 3.5-liter V6. High-performance C63 AMG tuned by Mercedes' performance division. It is a 451 horsepower 6.3-liter V8. All are available with rear-wheel drive car. C300 versions can be held with Mercedes '4 Matic all-wheel drive. 6-speed transmission is standard on the C300 rear-wheel drive models. Optional on those and standard on all C-Class car is a 7-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive automatic-C300S can run on E85, a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. Sport models have sports suspension and unique style. C63 has unique trim, performance suspension and brakes, a special "Race" mode, a stopwatch for timing of the runway circuit includes. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, traction control, front side airbags, side airbags and curtains. Options include a navigation system, bi-xenon headlamps, 60/40 split folding rear seat.
