Shallow AC Cobra looks a little different from Ace-Bristol we tested in 1958. This is the longer, more elegant nose and burning 2.6 Ace arches to accommodate the extra fat tires. Under the skin there was a lot of beefing-up of chassis, hubs, drive shafts, brakes, bearings and mounting. Changing iron to six aluminum V8 is partly responsible for weight gain 4cwt. But with a 4.7-liter Mustang engine tuned to give 300bhp dirty, then the full force 243bhp/ton-to-weight is the best ratio of any car and is guaranteed to provide exciting performance.
