Chrysler displays a Lancia Delta with Chrysler grille in Detroit motor show. However, Chrysler does not have immediate plans to sell cars in North America. Conversely, a spokesman said the car has been displayed to signal the end Lancia and Chrysler merger. The sources said the company plans to try and push Chrysler upscale in the U.S., and hope that Lancia's 'sophisticated, fashion-related' image will be contagious.

Pre-show report also said that Fiat will display all-eletric Fiat 500 on the stand, although it still must be put on a show. Chrysler's standing is also used to display a luxury vehicle from a branch of Fiat, Ferrari and Maserati. 500 hatchback will be sold in the United States at the end of 2010, while the 500C is scheduled to go on sale in 2011. Chrysler will build the 500 North American factory in Toluca, Mexico from next year, offered with a 1.4-liter gasoline engines ranging from 99bhp to 173bhp.
