This is the first image of the Kia Ray, a concept car that suggests the company's future vision of plug-in hybrid cars. The concept will be introduced in the metal at the Chicago Motor Show next month. That is the force by Kia America Design Center, and the company said Ray "will contribute to the sustainable development of Kia-alternative fuel vehicles".
Kia Ray features the work of hybrid powertrain, while the exterior design is described as "more than a concept, designed to show that hybrid cars can be handsome and sporty". Kia already has a prototype hybrid fuel cells are being evaluated in California and Korea. Hyundai company is putting a hybrid vehicle on sale in Korea later this year, and Kia is set to follow in 2011.
