2008 BMW 6-Series Premium Performance Car
Only a few changes to distinguish trim 2008 BMW 6-Series, which comes in 650i and M6 models, each available as a coupe or convertible. Four-seater body style. Convertible has a power soft top and heated glass rear window that can act as a top-down wind deflector or reduced to top-up ventilation. The 650i models have a 360-hp V8 engine and offers a choice of 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The M6s have 500-horsepower V10. This is available with 6 speed manual or a 7-speed automated manual transmission. The 7-speed transmission without clutch pedal. Gear changes occur through floor shifter or steering wheel paddles, and can be set to move like an automaton. All models have ABS, traction control, charging system, and BMW Active Roll Stabilization designed body to lean against. Also standard BMW Dynamic Drive Control that apply suspension, throttle and transmission settings for sportier response. BMW Active Steering, which is designed for low speed steering response at speed is standard on M6s, available in 650's. M6s also driver adjustable suspension, upgraded brakes, and larger wheels. Front side airbags and front knee airbags are standard; coupe adds side curtain airbags. All models come with a navigation system, steering-linked headlights, and BMW iDrive control climate, audio and navigation functions.
