2008 BMW X5 Premium Midsize SUV
After a redesign last year, the 2008 BMW X5 accept only small changes. The medium SUVs to seven seats and is offered in two models. The 3.0si has a 260-hp 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine. The 4.8i has a 350-hp 4.8-liter V8. Both come only with automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity 6000 pounds Standard seating for five, but an optional 3rd row expand the capacity to seven. All X5s that all-wheel drive without low-range gearing, traction control, charging system rollover sensors, and hill descent control. The front side airbags are standard, as well as side curtain airbags cover the first two seat rows and include rollover distribution. All X5s with iDrive that uses a button to control the entertainment, communications, navigation and climate functions. Available features include Active Roll Stabilization, the slim body counter; Active Steering, which is designed to expedite low-speed steering response, and the main link xenon headlights. Also available is a navigation system, head-up instrument display, DVD entertainment, including windshield camera / rear of the obstacle detection, and BMW Assist service managers in the wireless cell phone link.
