2009 Cadillac BRX Premium Compact Luxury SUV
The originally rumored to arrive as the 2009 Cadillac BRX, the 2010 Cadillac SRX is a new SUV from General Motors' luxury division. SRX will share some of its basic design with the Saturn Vue compact SUV, and replaces the slow-selling 2004-2008 SRX which shared its basic design with Cadillac's CTS midsize sedan. The new SRX will adopt some of its styling cues from the PROVOQ concept that was shown at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. While the PROVOQ was a hydrogen fuel cell/electric hybrid, BRX will use a traditional gasoline powertrain, most likely a version of GM's "High Feature" 3.6-liter V6 engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A gas/electric hybrid version is a likely late addition to the BRX roster. Models with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive should be available at the start of production. This 2009 Cadillac BRX features available safety features should include ABS, traction control, an antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. On the amenities side, expect leather upholstery, heated seats, a navigation system, rear-obstacle detection and a rearview camera making the features list.
