2009 Lotus Elise with the company's pint-sized British tradition with a performance sports car exotic car. Mid-engine, Targa-top 2-seater is equipped with a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder built by Toyota and sought after by Lotus. It makes 189 hp in the base Elise, and 218 in the supercharged Elise SC. A 6-speed manual is the only transmission offered. ABS is standard, but a charging system is not available; nor front side airbags or side curtain air bags. Other standard features include air conditioning, power windows, and remote power door locks. Options include leather upholstery, a limited-slip differential, and traction control. We have not tested 2009 Lotus Elise, but see comments on the Lotus Exige similar.
