Picture this spy shows that Saab is a Saab 9-5 sustainable development estate, although the parent company GM has begun the process for closing the company down. GM sources have confirmed that if the closed Saab 9-5 or 9-3 new planned will not be rebadged as the other GM products, making testing even more interesting.

The only prospect of a production Saab 9-5 is if the last ditch effort to buy a Saab succeed. Talks with Spyker and ongoing capital Genii - and recent reports indicate a framework agreement with Spyker could be on the verge to be announced.

Based on GM's Epsilon II platform, which features new 9-5 saloon and estate styling with a long, slender, sloping C-pillar and the faint-out A-pillars, to provide aircraft-like screen cover, which is a nod to the airline's past. This feature is cool, open and neat cabin, coupe-like profile, similar to the Vauxhall insignia, while there are LED lights on the back. Inside, the cabin features an elegant leather upholstery, a navigation system and the central thick-rimmed steering wheel is taken from the insignia.
