2011 Citroen C-Zero Concept at the Brussels Motor Show

Citroen C-Zero is a corporate version of Mitsubishi iMiEV and has been developed as part of a collaboration between the two manufacturers. Its PSA stablemate Peugeot showed off iMiEV version, ion.

C-Zero is due to go into production in the second half of 2010 and is part of the company's strategy to reduce emissions in the entire range. DS3 version Sub-100g/km CO2 and C3 will be available from launch in 2010, while the company also will introduce its hybrid DS5 in the year 2011.

Power comes from a permanent magnet synchronous motor, which produces 47kW (64bhp). Produce 133 pounds of torque between 0 and 2000rpm and the power delivered to the rear axle by a speed reduction equipment. A center-mounted 330-volt lithium-ion battery pack powers the motor and has been included as it is lighter and more durable than nickel-metal hydride battery, while offering equivalent performance.

Complete recharge the battery takes six hours by plugging into a conventional car 220-volt socket, while 80 percent took a quick 30 minutes when using 400-volt socket. Have various claims 80 miles and a top speed of 80mph. Its 0-62mph time and can get 15secs from 37-56mph in 6secs.
