The next is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution tends to plug-in hybrids that use electric motors to take the place of traditional turbocharger used in the performance sedan. Evo XI set to use the same platform as the PX-MiEV plug-in hybrid concept from last year's Tokyo Motor Show, the car company's first hybrid technology that will come.

This means that the Evo's new 2.0-liter gasoline engine will naturally aspirated but will be driven by an electric motor with lithium ion batteries. Electric motors will move the front wheels, while the gasoline engine will drive the rear wheels, making the Evo XI four-wheel drive.

This car will behave more like EV than a gasoline-powered cars, and will give drivers the option to drive in electric-only mode for short distances, significantly increasing fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.

Mitsubishi Autocar an insider says, "a new electric motor that applies to work like turbo, just more subtle, so do not worry about the transfer of power."

The car also will get a new package of driver assistance systems, some of them originally destined for the Evo X. Active Steering and Suspension Roll Control was developed for the current car but was canceled due to a combination of lack of cash, who remember a series of electronic and connected to the need for more focus on developing fuel-efficient engines. The Evo XI will also be equipped with E-AYC, which regulate the distribution of torque between the rear wheels.
